Wallingford is the original location of Causton, home to main character Detective Chief Inspector Barnaby, who is often seen wandering around the central Market Place or driving across Wallingford bridge. 

Wallingford's most recent appearance was in 'Breaking the Chain' which featured the town's Festival of Cycling and aired in January 2016.

Taking in Midsomer Newton Museum and Causton Library, as well as pubs, churches and shops filmed for the series; with options to visit the gardens and nature reserves set in Midsomer countryside. Covers Dorchester - Wallingford - Ewelme – Watlington – Lewknor – Aston Rowant – Chinnor – Thame – the Miltons and the Haseleys – Dorchester. Total drive time approx 3.5 hours.
