 | Work is about to commence installing Christmas tree brackets and the associated electrical cabling to provide the power for the trees in St. Mary's and St.Martins Streets. The work will be undertaken by Merlin Lighting Ltd the company awarded the contract after a recenttendering exercise. This work will take about 3 weeks (depending on weather). The Christmas trees and other decorations will be set up ready for switch on at the beginning of December and should make Wallingford town centre look fantastic during the festive period. | | Wallingford Partnership Ltd launches a new website for Wallingford and the surrounding villages of Benson, Brightwell-cum-Sotwell, Cholsey, Crowmarsh Gifford, Dorchester-on-Thames, Ewelme, Shillingford and Warborough. This aims to the portal of choice residents and visitors searching for information about the area.
This web-site project was part funded by South Oxfordshire District Council and South East England development Agency.

| | THIS year’s Wallingford Rally is shaping up well to build on the huge success of last year’s event. Vehicle bookings are up on this time last year, and set to reach the 200 mark again.
As usual we will have our varied mix of vehicles, from classic cars and motor-bikes to classic commercial vehicles, fire engines and ambulances. Also on display will be a collection of vintage Rolls Royces, alongside the latest high-powered dragsters. Once again we will have model steam traction engines giving rides, plus a Funfair, Penny Arcade and Face Painting for all the family. Click for more details |
